Specialist Executive, Deloitte
With over 20 years of experience, Jeneanne Rae is an award-winning expert in innovation, design, and customer experience. Prior to joining Deloitte in early 2017, Jeneanne consulted to notable organizations such as Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, the William Kellogg Foundation, and Kaiser Permanente to build human-centered design capabilities, execute innovation programs and improve customer experience. Her career in design began when she became the first woman to join IDEO’s executive team where she led strategy and business development for seven years. Following this position, Jeneanne became a serial entrepreneur by founding a business research firm focused on service innovation and a boutique innovation strategy firm.
Rae’s articles have appeared on Bloomberg Businessweek, Fast Company, and the Harvard Business Review blog network, among others. She was named one of Bloomberg Businessweek’s “Magnificent Seven Gurus of Innovation,” as well as one of its Leaders of the Year for her groundbreaking work in service innovation. Her recent work creating the “Design Value Index” in partnership with the Design Management Institute has gained international acclaim as a leading indicator to show the impact enterprise-wide design capabilities can add to stock market performance.
Rae joined Deloitte’s Federal practice to lead an effort to imbue the firm’s consulting work with human-centered design principles as applied to the myriad of complex federal government problems the firm seeks to solve. In this role, Jeneanne works with Deloitte clients to manage design curriculum development and training sessions. She holds a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in marketing and finance from UVA’s McIntire School, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
