An award-winning author and CEO of the Culture Company, Alicia Korten leads values-driven culture initiatives. She has helped clients achieve growth turn arounds, maintain the culture that made them great during periods of rapid growth, and achieve awards such as best place to work and best in industry. She has worked with household names like the Ford Foundation, United Nations, Levi’s and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and place-based organizations like the Arlington Community Federal Credit Union and Longfellow Health Clubs. Formerly, she was the Culture and Communications Strategist for Mary's Gone Crackers, helping the company leverage its core values to drive significant growth. Her upcoming book is on values-driven cultures.

As a young adult, Alicia took a life-changing trip to the rain forests of Panama's Darien Gap. During that trip, she witnessed meetings the Emberá and Wounaan Indigenous tribes were holding to write a constitution for the governance of their semi-autonomous lands. Villagers explored every aspect of their tribal life--from voting rights, to environmental stewardship, to their system of justice.  Moved, she worked with them for seven years.  Returning to the United States, she drew on her experiences with these masters of tribe-building to shape highly engaged values-driven workforce cultures.

Alicia is a Fulbright Scholar and graduate of Brown University, an award-winning author of two books, a meditation practitioner and is fluent in English and Spanish.
